Storytelling.

Oh, I have one. We were trying to load some young calves into a stock trailer. I had brought along a friend from Indiana. He really wanted to prove himself.

But uh, someone said in a hurry, shut the gate to the trailer.

The little calf didn’t want to be in there and came back out in a full run, jump up in the air n hit my friend broad square in the right shoulder. His face was planted in the dirt, which made him angry. So he jumped up, chase the calf and tackled him n both were at a full run.

It was at that time, the baby calf commenced to dragging him, but he was holding on n determined.

When he finally gave up, he had dirt all over him, his shirt was all untucked, hair all out of sorts with a bloody lip.

We sort stood back to say, man that was exciting

Just because a place has been open for that long DOES NOT make it good. Yes the staff was nice but the food is horrible! I don't think the fry oil has been changed since the day they opened.
I hope they put another chicken restaurant there to round out Chickenbocker.

The onion ring bale was to die for. Sad to see a San Angelo landmark leaving, but Godspeed to Ms. Zentner. I always considered Zentner's to be a reflection of old San Angelo class, something lacking in today's local eateries.

We ate there many times over almost 4 lustrous. The food was always good and staff was courteous and friendly with smiles. I will miss their steak, fries, n onion blooms.
